Another weekend brings Big Improvements

Whilst the United Kingdom was basking in higher than average temperatures and enjoying the ice cream a team of dedicated people were working hard at Danemead Campsite so that come September many more young people can have a first class outdoor adventure in Hertfordshire.

In addition to the ongoing improvements to the indoor accommodation the crew also installed another water tap, to allow for improved access to the water. Further instalments are planned for next year.

Dangerous over hanging trees were also removed from the bomb hole. Logs that have been thrown into the hole have been removed and the excess wood will be sold as firewood, with all proceeds being ploughed back into future projects at the site.

All that's need now is some water to fill the hole up !

Take a look at all the pictures from the weekend in the gallery.

If you would like to help on the site and are up for a bit of hard work, but much fun and laughter please contact Matt, Site Manager.
