This Month on Site

As the nights start to draw in their are changes afoot at the campsite this month together with new events taking place too.

During this year the focus of much work has been the refurbishment of Uncle Tom's Cabin. This month saw another step forward with work being carried out to modernise the remaining three bunk rooms and lay the foundations for disabled toilet facilities. This work is due to be completed by December. More thoughts on the plan's to come in future editions of the Site Manager's Blog, the first edition was published this month.

Across the county many places have Christmas events, and this year Danemead is no exception. With thanks to our friends Bushscouts UK the site is hosting a Christmas Craft Day on Sunday 15th December to raise money for the ForJodie project. Tickets cost £15 per person, spaces are limited so book quickly. During the day you will get the chance to make a natural Christmas wreath, a Reindeer and tree decorations. Of course, this will include tea/coffee and mince pies!!! But please bring your own lunch.

You can book your tickets on the Bushscouts UK website.

Tickets are also going fast for the Mud Run event on the 29th March 2020 with over a fifth of the tickets already sold already. The event will be broadly the same as last years successful event but with some changes based on the feedback on last years event. You can read more about the event, and book your place on the dedicated pages.

Our friends at the Wildlife Trust have been helping to clear and open up some more camping sites. This is an area of focus next year to enhance the camping areas at the site.

New badges have arrived in the Tuck Shop. Our new yellow badge is to replace the limited edition badges which sold out last month(ish). We also have a new camp blanket badge which some may recognise as our introduction slide to our videos.
