Support with your time

Believe it or not, Danemead is solely run by volunteers. From the management team down to the crew, all members are here because of their love for running the campsite. For several years now the campsite has been looked after by the same 20/30 people. In the past 6 years the campsite has gone under several changes which has made us a more desirable location for customers to book.

So the time has come where we would like to increase the size of our team. Could you be one of our future crew members?

• Does providing a safe space for young people to learn skills for life and experience the joy of the outdoors appeal to you?
• Are you looking for new challenges in your Scouting journey?
• Do you enjoy working as part of a team?
• Do you have DIY and organisation skills, or simply just love working outdoors? 

Did you answer yes to any of the above? Then maybe being part of our crew is the next move for you? You can apply as a single member or as a small team of people. All crew members are provided with campsite uniform. All crew are asked to complete at least 4 weekends a year. We actively try to do two work weekends a year. We are a social bunch and try to have a bbq in the summer and a meal at Christmas. All necessary training will be provided.

Crew members who are 18+ and have a driving licence may also have additional training to use our quad bike.
