Skills continue to grow in the Active Support Unit

Following the success of skills days last year the Danemead Campsite Active Support Unit, the team that runs the site, came together again this weekend to  refresh members First Aid skills by completing the First Aid ongoing learning module.

Having completed the course users of the site can be assured that many of our wardens have up to date first aid skills.

This week also saw the appointment of a dedicated Training Advisor for the unit to ensure that all members of the unit are supported through both their mandatory training and any further training they wish to complete to both benefit their role, and their personal development.

Chris Harrison, campsite chairman comments,

"The appointment of a dedicated training manager for members of our SASU is the latest step in ensuring that all of our volunteers are fully up to date with all aspects of their Scouting training including first aid, safeguarding and safety in Scouting, so that we can continue to provide the best possible experience for visitors to our site."
