The first ever Mud Run at Danemead campsite proved to be a very popular event drawing praise from young people, leaders and parents.
We’ve just received National Lottery funding! Thank you to everyone who plays The National Lottery for supporting us.
Danemead Campsite works with a number of partners, one of which, Bushscouts UK is running a skills day at the site on Saturday 4th May 2019.
We are now creating a leaders room and accommodation and installing central heating.
The refurbishment programme for the indoor accommodation at Danemead Scout Campsite took a huge leap forward today with the announcement that the site has been awarded a £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund for Phase 2 to continue the major refurbishment of the 1958 constructed bunk house cabin.
As part of the continued effort to engage with the local community the campsite, a local forest school, Twiggles Explorers is setting up a scheme at the site.
During this years Annual General Meeting the group had chance to take stock and celebrate the achievements during the year in addition to looking forward to the exciting developments in the future.
The four owning District Commissioners have unanimously agreed to extend the appointment of the Danemead Scout Campsite Manager for another three years.
It’s that time again, when it’s time to take stock of what we have achieved and look to the future of the campsite at the Annual General Meeting.
