During the summer a group of members gathered to create a video to promote the site.
The site chairperson, Chris Harrison explains all.
Filming is to produce a film in support for our application for Lottery funding.
We are looking to obtain a grant for £50,000 spread over five years to enable further improvements to Uncle Toms cabin including renovation of the last three bedrooms including addition of toilet/wet room. Full gas central heating and a new calor gas tank. Creation of a leaders lounge with additional sleeping accommodation for leaders/teachers. Improvements to main hall including audio visual equipment for training courses.
Thanks to David Barker from St.Albans district for producing the video and Mike Hayward, Danemead secretary for all his hard work behind the scenes. Thanks also to 8th Barnet, 10th and 32nd Chingford and 14th Chingford Brownies for coming up to help with the production.
