Facilities on the site
Wifi is available in the site centre around the buildings and for users in the indoor accommodation.
The site is run entirely by volunteers, and most weekends there is an on site duty warden. They are responsible for the site and to make sure your stay is a pleasant one.
The site has a recently refurbished toilet block containing separate toilets, wash facilities and showers for both male and female. The toilet block is heated and has both hot and cold water.
Open fires are allowed on the camping sites but for safety reasons they need to be lit on the alter fire drums provided. Please do not light any fires on the ground. There is a a good supply of wood all year round.
The site has water taken from a natural borehole that also supplies neighbouring houses.
Located in the heart of the site, this is a quiet area of calm away from the energy of the activities. The chapel is completely versatile and available for anyone to use for their Scouts Own, or just some quiet contemplation.
A well stocked woodpile is available next to the campfire circle. A little chopping may be required. So bring your axe and a good singing voice !
The site has a shop, known as “The Tuckshop” which as well as selling a wide selection of sweets and drinks also has a selection of items that you may run out or even left behind.
