Secondry Navigation Mud Run Camping

Are you taking part in the Mud Run ?

Take part in the campsite’s first Mud Run. Over four miles (depending on age) of obstacles and of course mud !

What happens on the event ?

Participants will run through a course approximately 650 yards/600 metres in length. Beaver Scouts/Rainbows, Cub Scouts and Brownies complete one lap (Cubs/Brownies can complete more, see FAQ), everyone else completes five laps. There will be lots of mud and participants should expect to get really muddy – this is all part of the fun !

Not wanting to spoil the surprise we thought you may want to see some of the areas that might be used. There will be trophies for each section and district.

Could I make it a weekend ?

Of course, we welcome everyone to camp over the weekend. On the Saturday there will be a disco and the main event on the Sunday. Please book your group in using the Mud Run Camping option, and then your participants in the Mud Run option.

It costs an additional £5 per person to camp for the weekend.

Helpful Bits

The event takes place on the 24th March 2018 at Danemead Scout Campsite, with the following programme :

09:00 Registration Opens
10:00 Beaver Scouts/Rainbows and Cub Scouts/Brownies race starts
10:45 Scouts/Guides and Explorer Scout/Seniors race starts
11:45 Scout Network/Rangers race starts
14:00 Award Ceremony

Each participant costs £15 to enter the event, which includes a Mud Run T Shirt. There will be an opportunity to purchase hot drinks, snacks etc.

Unfortunately Danemead only has four showers, so we cannot guarantee that participants will be mud free when going home ! You may want to bring some black bags.

How to book ?

Due to the amazing amount of support we’ve had. We have had to make the hard decision to close bookings for this event.

This is our first Mud Run and we want it to be amazing for all our participants. With the number we now have we feel anymore participants could lead to the event not be as enjoyable and overwhelming for our crew.

We hope to increase capacity next year by learning from this year!
