Danemead goes Digital

Over the past two years the campsite has undergone a something of a transformation, embracing the digital age to benefit both users and staff.

Two years ago the sites only digital provision was a website with only a few pages and a solitary email address.

Over the past few years much listening and thought has gone into the site’s digital provision, resulting in what we have today, a fully automated booking system, ticket system to capture all queries and a responsive website.

The booking system offers site users that chance to see what bookings are available and make a secure booking, which once made, generates an instant invoice and booking confirmation. The system also sends the booker a reminder and welcome pack two weeks before their visit. Two days after the visit bookers will receive a feedback survey to complete online, an opportunity to capture people’s thoughts about the site and possible ideas for future improvements.

We will shortly be starting to send out news via email, to those that have signed up during the booking process or registered for an event. This will contain either a summary of the news from the website or information on an event.

Installed this year, the ticket system, captures any questions sent in via the Help Centre. It captures queries sent in from the website, messenger and twitter and allocates a dedicated ticket to each one so users can be confident they will receive a complete response to their query.

The website, which looks great on both a desktop and mobile, contains everything you need to know about the site including news, programme ideas, site map, events and ways to support us. You can also make a booking, ask us a question and visit the Help Centre complete with an A to Z of the site.

The website also acts as a focal point for the events, so if you are taking part in one of the regular events at the site, check out the website first. After the event catch up with the photos, news and videos from the event too !!
