A warden and their staff are on duty every weekend during our camping season (beginning of March to the end of November). They are responsible for managing the site, allocating specific campsites and collect camping fees. Both the warden and the crew will be pleased to assist campers in anyway possible.
Toilets and Showers
The recently refurbished toilet block includes washing and showers, all with hot water for separate male and female campers. There is also a fully furnished disabled toilet with a hot shower. These facilities are regularly checked by the wardens so if you find out the soap has run out, let us know !
The campfire circle is located to the east of Uncle Tom's Cabin and is complete with benches. There is a campfire most weekends during the camping season. A ready stocked wood pile is situated adjacent to the circle, all you need to supply is the vocal talents !
Located in the middle of the trees a quiet area of calm in the busy site. The chapel is completely versatile and available for anyone to use for their Scouts Own, or just some quiet contemplation. Complete with benches and an alter it can be used for any faith denomination.
As well as the usual treats our well stocked shop has a selection of items just in case you run out, or have left them behind ! The shop is usually open at dedicated times during the day, but if you want it open at other times just ask the duty warden.
